Invisalign is a modern approach to orthodontic treatment. Instead of using brackets and wires to push and pull teeth into place, Invisalign uses a system of clear, comfortable aligners that gently move teeth into their ideal positions.

The Advantages of Invisalign

Invisalign is a popular treatment option for many teens and adults. Patients choose Invisalign for its:

  • Comfort – Traditional braces are bulky and can irritate the soft tissues of the mouth, but Invisalign is made with thin, smooth plastic.
  • Convenience – Invisalign lets you continue to eat your favorite foods and brush and floss like you normally would because you can remove your aligners whenever you need to.
  • Predictability – Invisalign offers a more controlled method of orthodontic treatment because we carefully plan the movements of each individual tooth for predictable results. We can even generate a preview of what your smile will look like when your treatment is complete!
  • Invisibility – Invisalign is virtually invisible, so your coworkers and classmates won’t even know you’re wearing aligners.

The Invisalign Process

When you come to our office for your complimentary Invisalign consultation, we will examine your teeth and jaw, go over your dental history, and determine whether Invisalign is the right orthodontic solution for you. Should you decide to move forward with Invisalign, we will take photographs and impressions of your teeth, which lets us create a 3D model of your smile on our computer to plan your treatment. Our treatment plan is sent to Invisalign, where your custom-made aligners are fabricated.

Every two weeks (or as directed), you’ll switch to the next set of aligners in your treatment plan. Each set brings you a little bit closer to your final results: a beautiful smile! To ensure that your treatment is on the right track, we’ll have you visit our office every four to six weeks to monitor your progress. Once you’re done with your final set of aligners, we’ll provide you with custom retainers to maintain your results for decades to come.
